Ms. Grundwürmer originally began her bachelor's degree in Chemical Biotechnology at the TUM Campus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability in 2018, but then switched to Renewable Resources to further develop her interest in engineering sciences. In her bachelor's thesis, she came into contact with bioprocess engineering for the first time, analyzing samples from a biogas plant with regard to various parameters, including near-infrared spectroscopy.
After successfully completing her bachelor's degree in Renewable Resources from 2018 to 2023, she immediately went on to complete her master's degree in Technology of Biogenic Resources. During her master's degree, she deepened her knowledge of bioprocess engineering through her work as a student assistant on the one hand and modules and research internships on the other, where she was able to further develop her skills in the process simulation software SuperPro Designer. In her master's thesis, she then dealt with the disruption of yeast cells in laboratory experiments.
She is very excited to now be able to contribute her enthusiasm for bioprocess engineering to the team.
